Coach Erin Sayre

Throughout her coaching tenure, Coach Erin has demonstrated a deep commitment to the personal and athletic development of her swimmers competing at all levels of the sport from beginners to elite professional athletes.

A significant aspect of Coach Erin's coaching philosophy centers around the integration of strength training and athletic development for swimmers, a focus she has cultivated over the last decade. For six years, she served as the Head Strength Coach for the TAC Titans, the nation’s leading swim team. In this capacity, she developed a cohesive dryland training program that has benefitted hundreds of athletes, from novices to Olympians. This innovative program not only emphasized physical strength but also promoted overall athletic development.

Coach Erin's impact on the sport is evidenced by her remarkable track record of success. She has worked with 24 Olympic Trials qualifiers, 5 USA National Team members, and 7 USA Junior National Team members. Among her athletes are 85 swimmers currently competing at the collegiate level and 4 Olympic and Paralympic athletes who competed in the Tokyo Games. Those 4 athletes have also owned World, American, World Junior, and National Records (in both the US & abroad). Additionally, she has helped several athletes secure medals at the Olympics, World Championships, and other international competitions. Her swimmers continue to set the bar high, and still hold over 13 National Age Group Records.

With her deep-rooted passion for swimming, extensive coaching experience, and a proven record of developing elite athletes, Coach Erin is hoping to inspire the next generation of Ohio swimmers and contribute to the legacy of the sport. She is committed to fostering excellence, instilling confidence, and nurturing talent in every athlete she coaches.
